ICED GOLDEN MILK for an anti-inflammatory boost!!! Why do we love golden milk…. TURMERIC! The active compound in turmeric making it so beneficial is curcumin- curcumin has been shown to help combat inflammation and improve symptoms of a variety of conditions such as arthritis, digestive disorders, liver disease, and fibromyalgia.
Ingredients
2.5 cups of nut milk (I use homemade macadamia milk- so rich and creamy).
1 tbsp. of turmeric powder
1/8 tsp. of cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. Manuka honey (optional)
1 tbsp. of MCT oil or coconut cream- I alternate back and forth, or you can add a little less of both! (if you do dairy, can substitute grass fed butter or ghee)
Dash of black pepper, cardamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
Directions
Mix all ingredients together with hand mixer or blended
It's that easy- can enjoy this hot or cold!
Notes:
*Always try to avoid harmful gums and fillers when choosing nut milks such as carrageenan.
* If just starting with turmeric you might want to decrease the amount of powder you add. It is a strong taste that takes getting used to for some!
